Can't figure out why or how this place could get more than 2 stars, unless it is all about the atmosphere, which is good. There is nothing special about the food other than how long it takes to show up at your table. Burger, fries and ice tea took about 90 min. At lunch time! After I tackled my server as he ran past my table, I was able to pay and get out of there. Restaurant was half full and I was seated in a corner where only half of the TVs were viewable, why? I know you can only watch one at a time but the 2 I could see/view the best had the news on and no sports. I'm sure I could have asked for a different table and didn't. My mistake. Not sure if this place will last long without some major changes in staff and/or management and food quality. After all that's what took a once "hot" Lee Roy Selmon's down. There is no reason I can see to go back for the food. I might give them a 2nd chance in a couple of months but a 90 minute, $20, below average burger lunch for one, doesn't make a great deal of sense.

The appetizers were great. The rest of the meal was awful and everything was overpriced for the quality of food. I had a steak and the next day I was so thirsty - everything is loaded with salt! We will not be back.

Great atmosphere, great food and great service! Buffalo Mac & Cheese and Hellfire Chicken = outstanding. Our server explained the menu and made good recommendations. Baseball and football games going on the many TV's throughout the restaurant. Great outside seating area. Already planning what I will try on my next visit.

Ordered the half rack of ribs for $13.99 and swapped out sweet potato for a house salad for an additional charge of $1.99. I got 4 ribs-it honestly felt like an appetizer. We went directly to Twistee Treat to get ice cream after we left since we were still hungry. There is no way this meal was a fair value. This place won't survive providing this kind of product for the price. I'm taking them off of our list for meal time.

This place was awful! We went to watch a game and the wait staff was terrible. They took forever to bring us our food and drinks. They cut off several members of our party when they had only 3 drinks in as long of period. They were very rude and a server even cursed at a few of our group members. They brought out extra food that was never ordered then tried to sneak it on to peoples bills. This is so unprofessional and unacceptable I know our entire group will never go back. The food awe terrible and the customer service was dismal at best.

Dissapointing. Have visited four times in the past two months. Their specials are a good deal early in rhe week. Each time I have been the food has gotten worse. My latest visit resulted in a hamburger way undercooked and sitting on a wet bun. TERRIBLE for a $10 burger. This is surprising for a franchise brought to Florida by the Outback founders. Service and the sports on TV are good, but this place will be a drink and nachos (excellent) stop for games only.

I came in for a quick bite tonight with a couple of friends. I got the fried green tomatoes and the margherita flatbread and oh my, they were amazing! Service was a little slow for a slow night but all in all I couldn't complain. I'll be back!

We're pretty much hooked on their wings here. My other half really likes their dry rubbed wings, but I'm all about the grilled boneless wings! So good! That's seriously all we ever get from here anymore, so I can't vouch for anything else this place serves up. Our favorite sauces for the chicken: Teriyaki and Glory, plus a side of blue cheese dressing. Perfection. Their beef skewers appetizer is also great. We've found the service to be slow here, it doesn't matter if it's a busy or slow time of night, but the waiters and waitresses are nice enough. Prices are a bit high for just chicken, but I'm sure they have to pay the electrical bill for all of those TVs somehow ;) It's best to come here for the grilled boneless wings on Wednesday when they have their $5 deal on it, or after 9pm they have their late night bites menu where their wings and apps are $5 each!

I ended upcoming here due to a meeting that was being held here for work. I have to say upon entering it was very clean and well-maintained with an inviting atmosphere. Everyone working seemed eager to help and there seemed to be a general consensus of teamwork. They had a good selection of beer on draft and the bar area was clean and well-maintained. We ordered a plethora of dishes including burgers, chicken wings, fries and other appetizers. I have to say there was not one thing I tried that was disappointing. The manager on duty Mike was very friendly and spent plenty of time discussing the concept as well as the menu and also poured our drinks. If you're in the area I would definitely suggest stopping by and checking it out especially if you're a sports enthusiast seeing as the walls are covered in televisions!

Gave it a try for the first time. We went for their taco Tuesday deal, 2 tacos with chips and salsa for 5.99 or 6.99, depending on the protein you choose. They were actually really good!! Just perfect size too! Well, at least for us. Though I liked the shrimp better then steak, steak was just a touch chewy. I do wish there would be more salsa for chips, but no biggie, free refills, but I'm sure just a hassle for the server. We also ordered their dry rubbed wings, and let me tell you, those were the bomb!!! With tangy buffalo sauce!! Just delish!! Don't want my wings any other way!! Well, maybe the original, which they also had and we are going back for those. My child's chicken tenders were really good too, and they had good side choices, we went with carrots. Good kids menu overall. So to sum up,cool looking sports bar, with millions of TVs, of course, manager and our server were nice and attentive. The service was good, manager kept checking on us, but the server could probably do a little better, and it wasn't too busy as we went early, by 5:30 on a week day. Can't say menu was that impressive, but there are a few noticeable items that we want to come back for and we were told the burgers are really good. Well, will see! This maybe a place to come back for favorites, if you find any.

OMG this place is awesome. It's a sports bar type of feel. Huge t.v.'s every where. The food in absolutely amazing. My son got the bison burger for the second time there. Not a drop of grease, but not dry either. I got the black bean burger, and it was amazing. Oh and the sweet potato fries......... Yum!!! Most places make them mushy, but here they are crisp. They have great specials they run through out the week. I can't wait to go back.

I came here with a large group on the weekend. They were very accommodating. Glory Days has a lot of good beer and margarita specials. I really appreciated the individual speakers systems for the tables, as it can be super hard to hear in some bars. In terms of food, my friend and I shared the wings and the Crab and Shrimp Grilled Cheese. We got the wings in a medium sauce. The wings were pretty decent except the sauce was not as hot as we thought it would be. For super spice lovers, I would recommend hot. The Crab and Shrimp Grilled Cheese was okay. There was clearly crab and shrimp in the grilled cheese, but some of the flavors were not quite there. It was creamy and had a good seafood flavor, but the cheese mixture could have used some herbs or garlic. Similarly, the bread was sort of lackluster and didn't support the other flavors. Overall, I would recommend this place for watching sports and sporty-snacks.

This place has everything one would need in a sports bar. A ton of TVs, a great outdoors, excellent bar food and plenty of beer. Around the bar area there are always people cheering for some sort of big game and even if you don't care that much about sports, it is hard to NOT get into a game. It has become my go to. I have eaten many different things off the menu but my favorite is the hell fire burger. Just spicy enough, if you are in to that kind of thing. They are a 6 times winner of best American cuisine, a 7 times winner for community involvement, and a 13 times winner for best sports bar. Definitely worth stopping by.

We've come in a couple of times to watch Lightning games. The TV setup is nice for watching several events at once. The atmosphere is very relaxed and traditional sports bar feel. The happy hour and late night menus are a definite must try. Monday's special is the classic burgers for $5.99. My burger was solid and the wings are very tasty. They offer a good beer selection as well. The staff was very friendly. Will definitely be stopping in again!

This place is awesome, the staff is very attentive and professional. We sat at the bar on a Thursday night, we ordered the steak bowl, and wings. The steak bowl was so good and very healthy. The wings were very large and had good flavor. We also had the salted caramel cheesecake which was very good as well. we will definitely be back for the great food and service!

This place is growing on me. I've frequented it more lately with the Lightning beng in the playoffs. I've had a few more menu items that I thoroughly enjoyed, including the new nacho burger and their wings. Their boneless grilled wings are wonderful and a staple in my diet. I also like the traditional wings, and the glory sauce is the way to go...the flavor is amazingly yummy!

My son loves it, they have plenty of tvs and different channels. Also have the sound boxes if you need them on all tables and at the bar. Full bar. Bunch of beer choices. Join their free points club for other perks and freebies.

Great sports bar with an awesome atmosphere. This place has good food, good people, and lots of tvs to watch sports.

We had no idea this place was a sports grill bar. We were immediately seated in a booth. On the far side of the restaurant in full view on the TV wall. They must have 6 55" tvs and 2 projector screen walls. It wasn't loud at all because each table has a volume box, how awesome. My girlfriend got the taco salad and said it was great. My philly steak and fajitas were amazing! We will be back again with friends!

When this restaurant opened, I was intrigued because it was a chain restaurant that I hadn't heard of, and I was looking forward to something different from the usual chains. I got a sandwich with fries, and I picked it up on my way home from work one night. It looked good, until I bit into it. Have you ever had the unsettling thought, "I am getting food poisoning RIGHT NOW."? Well, now I can say that I have. I don't really know how to describe it except that it did not taste good. I started analyzing the components of the sandwich to see if I could figure out why it was so gross. All I noticed was the color was off on the lunchmeat, and that was the end of it for me. So, a fatty-fat, penny-pinching, non-waster-of-food opted to throw an entire meal in the trash. Interpret that how you wish.

Lots of tvs, good place to catch the Tampa Bay Lightning game. Patio is also nice with both couches and high tables (tvs can be found outside as well). Food is good with generous portions. Happy hour after 9pm with $5 appetizers and $4 craft and import drafts.

On the tasty side of average. I had the fish fry which was juicy and bordering on greasy, fries and coleslaw were also well seasoned without going overboard.

I have been to Glory Days three different times. Except for their hamburger I found the food to be poor at best. They claim that the Gumbo is the same that was served when the restaurant was known as Selmons. They should change the name of the Gumbo to sausage soup. They seemed to have left out the crawfish, chicken, and okra. The fried grouper sandwich had breading that was so thick that it completely overpowered the taste of the fish. The pork ribs had to have been taken from a pig that hadn't been fed in a couple of months because the meat was hard to find. I will not go back for a fourth time.

  • Greg S.

Overall a bad experience. Arrived at 6:30 with a party of 10. We were told we had a 15 min wait. Finally sat down a little after 7:30. If you have a party over 4 this is not the place for you. Parties of four were continually arriving and seated ahead of us. Food came out fairly quickly, yet almost all of the dishes were cold or warm at best, except for the fried green tomatoes which were lava. If you have children they better be infants because the childrens portion might as well come in a baby food jar, some of the kids meals were about that size. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak, mediocre at best. The best part of anyone's meal out of the 10 of us was probably the fries. Leroy Selmon's was so much better. Maybe it will come back when this place goes out of business.

The wings were over cooked. However, the manager brought over another order of wings cooked a little differently that were better but overall I don't recommend the Wings. I do recommend the crab and shrimp dip, it was very good. The beef on the skewers were cold, but the Asian slaw underneath the skewers was very tasty. My favorite item at this restaurant is their bison burger. Lots of t.v.s to watch the games.

Both times we have eaten here the service is terrible and the food is overpriced for what it is. Luckily the first time we waited 45 minutes and got no service so we left, but the manager did give us $40 is certificated to come back another time. We did since it was free but still were not happy with the service or the food. I will not be going back as there are a lot more options that are better around the area

The service is great! The best is the beers! 50 oz. beer for 12.99! Moreover, there are about 50+ televisions, which if you request a channel, they will cater to you. Additionally, they have speakers for each table that give you the ability to choose whichever channel you want to watch/listen.

Service was definitely an A+, food was typical sports bar food. I went with a few friends to watch the USF game. They arrived first and I was a little late. As soon as I sat down I was approached by the waitress who told me about beer specials (I don't do beer) so I just ordered a water. I glanced over the menu and thought a philly cheesesteak sounded tasty. It came out quickly and was wrapped up in paper to attempt to keep it together and less messy (didn't work much lol). It wasn't much like a philly cheesesteak at all - the meat was chewy, there were no grilled onions, there was mayonnaise and cheese... it was more like a hot roast beef sandwich. I ate half then focused on the fries (pretty standard). When the waitress came to check in she asked how it was and I just responded with a generic sort of 'eh it was okay' and she asked what was wrong. I was specific in saying it wasn't anything WRONG necessarily about the food, it just wasn't what I expected. She said she would send the manager over and I tried to argue that it was fine but she sent him anyway. He approached and asked what I thought and I just explained that it wasn't your average philly cheesesteak and a bit on the chewy side and just kinda disappointing but it wasn't anything they really did wrong on their part. He said he was going to comp my meal and offered to get me something else but after 1/2 the sandwich and fries I tried to tell him I was fine and still ate half and would pay but he insisted on covering it. When the checks came I didn't get one because I just had water to drink but wanted to make sure and tip the waitress (I only ever have cards... terrible cash person). I asked for a diet coke to go and when she brought it I said 'Okay now can I have a check please?' and she said 'no don't worry about it' and I said no I NEED a check to tip you! She laughed then printed one off and thanked me because I didn't have to do that. I'll try it out again for another game day, definitely had the sports bar feel and very friendly and accommodating staff, just will try some other food items.

Food is too salty most of the time. Wish to see some more variety on the menu. Service has been good. Not my most favorite place.

Not bad as a renovation for Lee Roy Selmon's, but it's different in that Glory Days Grill is more of a upper class sports bar that goes outside the box and yet has better prices than Buffalo Wild Wings. It's also a very family friendly atmosphere, but a good place to watch any sporting event, from the Rays games to the World Cup. There are daily specials, including two Happy Hours and fun interactive games that include pass the ball game at the bar (go and try for yourself). Bottom line: it's a sport bar with class.

Just moved to the area and tried this place for the first time tonight. Amazing food, wonderful service. TVs for every sport, plus kids cartoons with a speaker at the table to listen to whatever you're watching. Hands down, the BEST food joint in New Tampa. No question.

Best sports bar around! The TV receivers on each table (even outside) are a nice addition. Food and drinks are great and the service is awesome. Great place to watch games or just to go for a meal. Highly recommended.

Out of the world preparation. Would highly recommend go their have patience you will never regret.

Great service for the kick off of the first Sunday football game of the season! The buffalo flat bread was pretty good and they have some local craft beer on tap! I love having my own speaker and they are VERY organized for setting you up with your team! This is my 5th time here and I will be coming back next Sunday!

We went to glory days for the first time tonight. It was very good. The service was good and food came in a timely manner. There were nine of us and everyone liked their food. I personally had hellfire chicken and it had a kick to it but was very tasty. Others had monte cristo, good stuff. Mac & cheese hamburger out of this world. Good food, good quantity and good service. We will be going regularly.

From the good people that brought us Lee Roy Selmon's comes their newest concept, which previously only existed in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. Because this particular location actually used to be a Lee Roy Selmon's, it still looks and feels like one. The difference, however, is that Glory Days has less BBQ influence in the menu and more traditional sports bar/restaurant fare. Hellfire chicken is a signature item (either as sandwich or entree) and offers a good kick without overwhelming the dish and the Buffalo Chicken Mac 'N Cheese speaks for itself. While I do not eat seafood, there was a lot of buzz about the crab and shrimp pretzels. Also, there is a really good late night Happy Hour offering plenty of attractive specials. The vibe is very comfortable and I was very impressed that on a Saturday night where they were not yet open to the public, a manager was outside informing new customers that they would be welcome back anytime in the future by offering each car a $10 gift certificate to encourage them to do so. Considering how much I've always enjoyed Lee Roy Selmon's with friends or to watch a big sporting event, one visit to Glory Days tells me that I will enjoy it just as much here.

Saturday, 2:45 pm. Place was crowded, wait was 5-10 minutes, seated in 7. Took a few more for our waiter to get by the booth for our drink orders, but he really kicked it in to high gear after getting our drinks to the table. Soft pretzels as an app, served with queso & spicy brown mustard (delish, mustard was a little too spicy for my 15 yr old), wings, half tangy buffalo & half medium, served nice and hot, with a nice sized bowl of ranch & 3 celery. Very good. Refills on the soda's were on point. They have a bar, do not know if it is full alcohol, lot's of TV's, nice layout & wireless speaker gimmicks at the tables so you can tune in any of the several shows playing on the TV's. Seating is also available outside, ample parking. 4 stars can easily go to 5 as I try more menu items, which I will as I will be going back. ps-They do have specials, Burger Monday's, Taco Tuesday's, half priced apps after 9 p.m., etc. Lot's of beers on tap, desert menu as well.

We were greeted at the door and quickly seated. It was a busy Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere is full of sports decor. Many televisions so you won't miss a moment of whatever game you're watching. Each table has a radio that can tune into those games. I like this idea because the guests aren't shouting over the sound of the game, it's contained to your table. The bar is fully loaded and they had many beers on tap. I loved that they had Abita on tap. We tried the Crab & Shrimp dip for an appetizer. So delicious. It came with a side of tortilla chips, which were just ok. They were definitely just bar tortilla chips. I would have expected at least a better chip to go along with the hearty dip. Our waitress on the key with refilling our drinks. We waited a little bit longer than usual for our food, but that was due to how busy it was. We ordered the Bacon Cheddar Burger and the Tangy Buffalo Wings. The wing sauce was tangy and yum! I definitely would like to try that sauce on a chicken sandwich. The only thing that was missing from the wings was the sauciness. The saucy extra fingerlicking experience was missing. The sauce was fried/baked (however they prep it) into the wing and that was it. Still delicious. The burger was perfect, a well seasoned burger. Very juicy and the toppings weren't lagging. Each bite was filled with a burst full of flavored. They could have added more fries. I can't wait to return to try more stuff from the menu!

The only reason this place gets one star is because I can't give less than that. We were a party of 10 and waited 70 minutes for a table because they only had one table in the entire restaurant that could seat us. This was after being told the wait was 15 minutes. We weren't offered a drink while waiting and even though we asked to split up into 2 tables, we still were made to wait. Dinner itself took 2 1/2 hours. Service was super slow, portions were small and all our food was cool or room temperature when served. My half rack of baby back ribs consisted of 4 ribs and something that wasn't a rib at all. Smallest and strangest rack of baby back ribs I've ever seen. It came with a shot glass sized cold slaw and about 10 French fries. My daughter ordered pasta and mashed potatoes and the mashed potatoes were spicy. First off, who ever heard of spicy mashed potatoes and if a kid orders them, the waiter should maybe say something to be sure they know. So 80 bucks and 3.5 hours later we are home and our kids are eating again because they are still hungry. Overall we were not impressed at all. Not sure we will ever be back.

We sat at the bar. The two bartenders were responsible for the entire bar area so they were slammed. We enjoyed the dry rubbed wings - but they must have a lot of sodium because we were so thirsty when we got home. The buffalo chicken flat bread was thin, crispy with a little chicken - good appetizer. I had the hell fire burger with bison. It was very good. A nice spicy Chipotle bbq sauce.

Yesterday I passed by the New Tampa area for a business meeting. I decided have a quick lunch at Glory Days and was welcomed by Katie at the bar. She really knows how to make someone feel welcome and have an enjoyable lunch. Next time I am in town I will be back to Glory Days to see Katie. She is a "home run".

  • Dan S.

I honestly couldn't tell if the bison burger was actually bison or not. The patty was packaged and frozen and rather small. It had to be the smallest portion of french fries I've seen at a chain restaurant. I got maybe 12 fries total, if I was lucky. The concept is kind of cool. The place is a sports bar first and foremost. You get a speaker at your table. You connect to any of the TVs to play the audio of the show that is on. I wasn't really interested in that though. I might go back with some buddies to watch a game some time, otherwise I'll pick some place else to get my lunch.

We went there on a Saturday night, and was seated right away. The food was decent. There were a few stand out dishes. The macaroni bites and the fried green tomatoes were very good. It's a decent atmosphere, if you're looking to catch a game, but I will say their booths were not the most comfortable. They were very cramped and not much padding in the seats. But the stuff that this place lacked they more than made up for in service. Our server, Pablo, was exceptional. He made good suggestions from the menu and really seemed to know the menu well. He was very friendly and extremely attentive. Our glasses never got less than half full before he was there to fill them. Our food came out really fast and hot. After we finished eating, we wanted to finish watching the game, so we moved to the couches they have on the patio, so we could be more comfortable. The manager came out and asked if we needed anything. I asked him for a glass of wine. He didn't hear me, and brought me a glass of water. When I pointed it out, he quickly went back in and got me a complimentary glass of wine. The food was decent enough, but our experience with the service is what will get us to come back.

Went to glory days grill I Was seated right away, But my server took 20 min to come and get drink orders and they were not busy 15 min later she came back took our order.; There was none in the restaurant. 30 more min for 2 medium rare burgers, Wth..... my wife took a bit from here burger it was well done. Decent food, friendly staff and great beer prices. Great venue to watch sports, the tv's are huge and everywhere. Every seat is a good seat.If it wasn't close I wouldn't go out my way to come here, but it is, so I will return.

SERVICE MISTAKES galore!! Been here many, many times (foolishly), but rarely without some kind of service blips!! Manager(s) stay very busy apologizing to guests for mistakes made. The managers -- over and over again -- plead for the guests to give them another chance. The restaurant seems to CONSTANTLY foul up orders and have to do them over. There is usually unexplained slow turnaround on the order re-do. Such blunders are more than coincidence, in my opinon. I have been here enough to know that my observations have statistical validity now. Something is fundamentally wrong at this place, I suspect. Shame on the owners for letting these problems linger and persist!! Disappointing. Food itself is average in most instances, but certain selections are really good.

I have been to this Glory Days Grill twice and have LOVED both of our dining experiences :) All of the food items that we have ordered have been EXCELLENT!! I really appreciate how business is supposed to be done, and let me tell me you.... Glory Days nailed it! Had a great talk with the GM James Hamilton after our first outing there, and I decided to give them another chance. Glory days has one of the best burgers in Tampa. Try the glory burger you will not be disappointed. Also the Long Island Iced tea is phenomenal. The service was on point and the other manger Chris as well knows how things should be done, and provided one hell of night. I recommend everyone in Tampa to give glory days a shot for any sporting event, or if you just want a good burger.
